My PhD dissertation examines the history of the National Lawyers Guild and its role in the labor, social justice, and international solidarity movements. In particular, I focus on the racial and gender dynamics within left-wing politics and the limitations of legal and extra-legal protest in the late Cold War period.

I hold a BA in History from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, and an MA in Historical Studies from The New School for Social Research.
