Ogle Recognized for Article on 'Archipelago Capitalism'

Associate Professor Vanessa Ogle has recently garnered two awards for her article "Archipelago Capitalism: Tax Havens, Offshore Money, and the State, 1950s–1970s," published in the Dec. 2017 issue of The American Historical Review.

The Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations (SHAFR) awarded Ogle the 2017 Stuart L. Bernath Scholarly Article Prize, which recognizes and encourages distinguished research and writing by junior scholars in the field of diplomatic relations. Additionally, the Berkshire Conference of Women Historians awarded Ogle its 2017 Article Prize.

Ogle joined the UC Berkeley Department of History in 2017, having previously taught at the University of Pennsylvania.
