History Departmental Graduation Ceremony:

The department has one commencement ceremony a year, held in the Spring. History students graduating in Spring, Summer or either the proceeding or following Fall are welcome. This year's ceremony will be held Wednesday, May 20th, 2015 at 9:30am, in Zellerbach Auditorium. The keynote speaker is two term governor of Michigan and Berkeley alum Jennifer Granholm.  Student names and thesis topics will be read as they cross the stage. A reception for graduates and their guests will follow in Ishi Courtyard.  

Deadline Extended: Students registering by March 31st receive 4 free tickets.  See instructions below for details.

Free ticket pickup will be in the main history office (3229 Dwinelle) Thursday April 9th through through Monday April 25th.  Tickets not picked up by April 28th will be returned to Cal Performances.

Senior Convocation (University-wide commencement ceremony):

In addition to the departmental ceremony the campus also offers a campuswide Commencement ceremony.  It will be held on Saturday, May 16th, 2015, at 10:00 am in California Memorial Stadium, doors open at 8:00 am.  Graduating seniors from all academic disciplines can participate.  Please note that names will not be read at this ceremony.
