Wonderful news! Prof. Ronit Stahl has just been awarded the 2023 Faculty Award for Outstanding Mentorship of GSIs.
This award is given by Graduate Council's Advisory Committee for GSI Affairs and the GSI Teaching & Resource Center. It recognizes faculty (including both Senate and non-Senate faculty) who have provided GSIs outstanding mentorship in teaching at Berkeley and in preparing for teaching in future careers.
Faculty receive this award based on nominations from their GSIs. Ronit is known to all of us for her deep commitment to thoughtful pedagogy, her innovations in teaching, and now for mentorship as well. It's especially meaningful to celebrate her at the conclusion of this semester's offerings of History 7B and History 375, both of which she is teaching this spring.
