Bio

Lewis Bremner is a Lecturer in the Department of History. His work focuses primarily on the history of Japan, the history of science and technology, and transnational history. He grew up on the east coast of Scotland, and earned his doctorate from the University of Oxford, before moving to the U.S. last year to work on a book on the history of the magic lantern in Japan as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University.
