Congratulations to Associate Professor Stephanie Jones-Rogers, whose book They Were Her Property: White Women as Slave Owners in the American South (Yale University Press)was named an L.A. Times Book Prize finalist. Since it's publication, They Were Her Property has garnered a wide range of accolades and exposure, attesting to the reach and imapact of Jones-Rogers' ground-breaking scholarship.
